About District Powerline Contractors

Our company was founded by our owners who have over 40 combined years of experience in the powerline industry.

We are proud to operate out of the capital city of British Columbia, and call Greater Victoria our home. We operate across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.

Our team consists of experienced powerline technicians, health, safety, and environment (HSE) professionals, and administrative staff.

We are a licensed and bonded electrical safety contractor with Technical Safety BC. 

Our staff hold the Class A-R: Power Line Technician Field Safety Representative (FSR) certificate of qualification. 

We are qualified to install, construct, alter, repair, maintain, test, service and operate related overhead, underground, and marine electrical transmission and distribution systems. This includes all overhead and underground pole line or duct systems up to point of attachment of secondary service conductors.

District Powerline is SafeContractor (Alcumus) approved.

Demonstrating our commitment to the highest standards of environmental, health, and safety compliance, we have successfully completed the SafeContractor verification process, meeting OHS Canada standards. We adhere to provincial and client-specific requirements—including environmental, insurance, procurement, and corporate social responsibility.

District Powerline Contractors is also a signatory employer with IBEW Local 258.
